Society of American Indians Privacy Policy
The Society of American Indian Dentists (SAID) respects the privacy of every individual who visits its website.
Personal information that the SAID collects from its members and visitors to its website is used only to help the SAID better serve its members and visitors. We collect only information that our members and visitors knowingly and voluntarily provide.
The SAID does not collect any information from visitors browsing its website. Only aggregate data such as number of hits is monitored for the purpose of internal analysis.
The SAID may collect personal information about visitors such as name, postal address, telephone number, email address, and tribal affiliation that is provided voluntarily by the visitor through membership applications and meeting registrations. The SAID uses this information for the purpose it was provided. The SAID does not sell, rent or disclose personal information about visitors or members to unaffiliated third parties.
The SAID may collect personal information online for all legal purposes, which include, but are not limited to:
“Contact Us” and Online Comments Features. The SAID encourages visitors to its website to contact us with questions and comments. Email addresses and other information of persons using these features may be collected in order to facilitate our responses to those inquiries.
Message Boards. The SAID website may offer message boards for professional, discussion as defined in the Terms of Use for those message boards. The SAID collects personal information, including names and email addresses, from persons posting messages to those message boards.
Conferences and Meetings. A member or visitor also may provide personal information when registering for sponsored conferences and meetings. Personal information provided for this purpose may include your name, postal address, telephone number, email address and credit card information.
Credit Card Account Information. When a member or visitor provides credit card account information to the SAID or its agents (for example a credit card processing company) the SAID submits the information needed to obtain payment to the appropriate financial institution. The SAID does not further disclose credit card account information obtained from its members or visitors.
From time to time, the SAID may use visitor and/or member information for new, unanticipated uses not previously disclosed in our privacy notice. If the SAID’s information practices change at some time in the future the policy changes will be posted to the SAID website to notify its members and visitors of these changes and provide members and visitors with the ability to opt out of these new uses. A member or visitor concerned about how their personal information is used, should check back at the SAID website periodically.
Visitors and members may prevent their information from being used for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected by sending an e-mail to the SAID at info@societyofamericanindiandentists.org.
The SAID website contains links to websites of unaffiliated entities. The SAID is not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of unaffiliated entity websites that are linked to its website.
The SAID uses cookies only to enable members to access member only data without re-logging in each time.
Upon request the SAID will provide site visitors with access to all information that we maintain about them. Consumers can access this information by sending an e-mail to us at the above address. Visitors can have this information corrected by sending us an e-mail at the above address.
